Tender’s Favorite Tree Got a Trim | October 2025
Tender’s month was peaceful as usual. The only notable change was increased vegetation trimming by ICE, the national electricity company. These periodic trimmings are done to prevent branches from touching power lines, both to protect wildlife from electrocution and to avoid fallen branches from damaging cables.
Fortunately, the trees weren’t completely cut down. However, the Beach Almond tree in front of Tasty Waves, the very first tree we ever recorded for Tender, was heavily trimmed, almost by half, as you can see in the video.
Despite that, Tender seems unfazed and continues to use the tree regularly. It clearly remains an important part of his home range.
