And follow ALL our sloths!

Join the Sloth Fellowship to follow wild sloths, discover their individual stories, and support the work that helps keep them wild and free.

Your monthly donation helps our team keep studying sloths and developing practical solutions to the threats they face.

A closer connection to wild sloths in the canopy

As a Fellow, you’ll have access to our private member portal, where you can:

  • Follow the sloths on an interactive map. Explore the movements of all the sloths currently monitored by our Urban Sloth Project, with new tracking data every two weeks.

  • Keep up with their stories. Enjoy monthly updates and emails from our research team, with photographs, discoveries, and news about the sloths you’re helping protect.

  • Go behind the scenes. Discover exclusive videos, interviews, and talks that bring you closer to our team and their work in the field.

The Science Behind Their Stories

Our Urban Sloth Project studies how wild sloths live alongside people in Costa Rica. By following their movements and behaviour, we learn how roads, buildings, and changes to their habitat affect their lives.

Those discoveries help us identify where canopy bridges, reforestation, and other conservation efforts are needed.

Meet Some of the Sloths You’ll Follow

Get to know a few of our forest neighbours. Each has a story to tell, and each is helping us learn how to better protect wild sloths.

Martita

This three-fingered mother helped make a canopy bridge happen. When our tracking data revealed that Martita was crossing a road with her baby, it gave us the evidence needed to secure a safer route for her and her forest neighbours.

Deborah

Debbie is a two-fingered sloth living in a narrow patch of forest between the beach and a busy road. Camera traps captured her using a canopy bridge with her baby Mel, a wonderful glimpse of conservation in action.
